Wow, we stopped by the Burger King drive- thru this morning, there at that this plaza, but didn’t know about that crime, or see any police present. We did comment about how the developers had pretty much clear-cut all the trees on the opposite corner, across the road from the Burger King that goes down to the lake. I remember saying a bear couldn’t hide in there anymore, because one time we drove by, and a black bear was hit and killed right near there. A lot of panhandlers and transients used those woods to live in, and hang out, but no more now, since the woods are gone. LEAVE A REPLY Cancel reply Please enter your name here 1 COMMENT Deputies arrest suspect on the sceneThe Seminole County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) arrested Anastasia Marcus, 21, of Orlando, for her involvement in two restaurant burglaries that occurred early this morning.Anastasia MarcusAt approximately 3:10 a.m., a deputy conducting proactive patrols noticed a suspicious silver Toyota Camry parked in front of the Gator’s Dockside restaurant located at 3030 East S.R. 436 in unincorporated Apopka. A female was inside the vehicle and a query of the tag revealed it was reported stolen out of Orlando. The female was secured without incident and identified as Marcus.The deputy then noticed the glass door to the business was shattered and three males wearing hoodies were inside. The three suspects escaped out the back of the restaurant and fled on foot in an unknown direction of travel. A perimeter was established and an extensive search was conducted utilizing K9 units and a helicopter, but the suspects were not located.Deputies discovered a second restaurant located in the same shopping plaza, Caffe Positano, had also been burglarized. It appears the suspects again broke a glass panel door to gain entry to the establishment. Property belonging to the restaurant was located inside the stolen vehicle.Marcus was charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle, larceny, and two counts of burglary. She was booked into the John E. Polk Correctional Facility and remains incarcerated on a $19,500 bond.The investigation is on-going.
